Susan Denison is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been working
with children, adolescents and adults for over 17 years. She has been
trained in EMDR, EFT, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Somatic Experiencing
(SE) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). She is also a graduate of
both the Barbara Brennan School of Healing and the Colorado School of
Energy Studies in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy. She is a registered
Yoga teacher and has taught adolescents yoga in the mental health setting
since 2001 and is presently teaching DBT skills to adolescents who
struggle with emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal
challenges. Susan primarily works with individuals seeking a better way
of living and offers a safe container for those she serves.
Therapy focuses on the strength of the individual and is often short-term. Because of Susan's extensive training in alternative
healing modalities, she offers a holistic approach in her counseling
methods. Susan also collaborates services with other agencies
and professionals as needed to best meet the needs of her
families.
