I can give you the names of people that you may see for these concerns. My goal is to be your therapist and provide confidentiality for the issues you or your child may be experiencing. However, if you are experiencing symptoms of depression or anxiety as the result of a separation or divorce, I can be of service.

Finding just the right person to talk to!
If you haven't been to a therapist in the past, that first call can be the hardest. As you may know, it is important that you insure the therapist is the right person for you. Ask the therapist the questions and concerns that are on your mind. No question is unimportant. This is a person that you need to be able to trust, and to establish a special rapport that is different than a friendship. It is a person that you want to relate to, connect with, and to tell some of your deepest feelings in confidence. Ask for the therapist?s background and training. It is important that you feel comfortable and confidence with this person. Some people are concerned about feeling judged for having feelings and concerns. The role of the therapist is to listen and offer a different perspective with objectivity.
